After months of testing, sample production, and custom tooling development, we’ve created what we believe is the
first true modern shaker door designed to hold up long term.
Our Slim Shaker is built using an
engineered solid wood frame with a full 2 5/8” structural backer, paired with a veneered composite panel and true mortise and tenon joinery. The result is a door that delivers a clean, modern look while maintaining the strength and durability of a traditional five-piece construction.
This design features:
- A 1” visible stile and rail for a refined, modern aesthetic
- A two-piece engineered frame that resists warping, twisting, and bowing
- A full-depth structural core that provides excellent screw holding for hinges and drawer front mounting
Unlike most slim shaker doors on the market, which rely on thin plywood backers with applied moldings, our construction avoids common failure points such as:
- Weak hinge mounting due to shallow material
- Visible pin nails and seams at the edges
- Separation and cracking between solid wood and plywood components over time
Instead, our Slim Shaker is a
true five-piece door, built using time-tested joinery and engineered for long-term performance.
