This is a 4" x 6" x 5/8" thick solid wood sample. The face will be finished with a CLEARCOAT and the back will be finished with the TAMARACK stain.

Wood samples are great for helping to make a decision on the wood type you will be using for your project. Use this sample to get a feel for the wood species prior to ordering your cabinets!

Wood Sample & stain color for my kitchen cabinet refacing project. Walnut seems to have the most stable color running through it, based on the sample I received. I didn't see much of a difference between the clearcoat applied side vs the Tamarack applied side. Sample is small so use your imagination to visualize your whole kitchen this way.

The tamarack is just barely darker than the clear only. But I recommend getting the stain as it gives it that vintage walnut look and will help keeping it look the same with the walnut naturally lightening up with age
