Conversion Varnish Cabinet Finish
Most of our competition offers a lacquer or varnish as their standard cabinet finish. While these are the industry standards, they are not the best finish available. Lacquer tends to break apart when exposed to water creating unsighlty blemishes that are hard to repair. Conversion Varnish is water resistant and will last through decades abuse.
We have chosen to offer the highest grade cabinet finish available. Using a Conversion Varnish clear coat allows for a water resistant, smooth, and scratch resistant finish.
How it is applied
Starting with the unfinished sanded doors, we apply two coats of sealer, then sand in order to maintain a smooth and even texture. Next the door will be sprayed with two coats of Conversion Varnish to achieve a soft and even finish. After this, the doors are placed in a heated drying chamber for 18 to 24 hours to allow the Conversion Varnish to harden and dry.
